Many of the golf courses offered at X-Golf Richmond indoor golf simulator facility also host yearly stops on the PGA tour. Some of the golf courses offered even host golf majors like the US Open, PGA Championships or The Open. Kapalua Plantation Course
PGA Tournament: Sentry Tournament of Champions
Course Info: Par 73, 7033 yards from Blues
Kapalua opens the calendar year of the PGA tour each January. The exclusive field consists of golfers who won a PGA tour tournament in the previous year.
Located in Maui, Kapalua is consistently ranked as the top course in Hawaii. The course is long but features wide fairways making it a great place to let the big dog eat! A tee-time at the Plantation course will cost around $400. While the Hawaiian sunshine cannot be mimicked golfing indoors, we offer golfers the ability to play this bucket list course indoors at a fraction of the cost.

Pebble Beach
PGA Tournament: AT&T Pro Am
Course Info: 6503 Par 72
No course is more requested at X-Golf Richmond than Pebble Beach. Pebble Beach Golf Links hosts 2/4 rounds at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM. The tournament is a 3 course rotation and also features Spyglass Hill (another course available for play at X-Golf). Pebble is a relatively short course but challenges golfers with its below average green sizes. When playing in real life golfers can run into all types of inclement weather. Playing golf indoors in a climate-controlled environment means you will get perfect conditions while playing the legendary course. A round at Pebble is $575 plus additional fees to use a caddie.

Spyglass Hill
PGA Tournament: AT&T Pro Am
Course Info: 6568 Par 72
Spyglass Hill hosts PGA golfers for 1 round during the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Spyglass Hill is Dubbed as the Greatest Meeting of Sand and Trees. Located at the same property as Pebble Beach, this course has been ranked as high as fifth on Golf Digest’s list of “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses”. The first five holes all have views of the Pacific Ocean while the other 13 wind through the Del Monte Forest. The fairways are tight but there is not a lot of trouble awaiting errant shots meaning low scores are achievable!
PGA National The Champion Course
PGA Tournament: Honda Classic

Beware of the Bear Trap! The Champion course at PGA National has hosted a Ryder Cup, PGA Championship, Senior PGA Championship and is now an annual stop on the PGA Tour as host of the Honda Classic. Consistently it is one of the hardest non major courses on tour and the same holds true when playing the course indoors, at X-Golf Richmond
The course was originally a Fazio design and then was redesigned by Jack Nicklaus. The latter designer is the reason for the name of the difficult stretch of holes 15,16 & 17 known as The Bear Trap.

Bay Hill
PGA Tournament: Arnold Palmer Invitational
Course Info: 6601 Par 72
Bay Hill is located in the Orlando Florida area. Each March, as part of the “Florida Swing”, Bay Hill hosts the PGA Tournament, the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Bay Hill is considered one of the more exciting non-majors on the PGA Tour and was a popular stop for Tiger Woods (he won a total of 9 times at Arnie’s place).
The golf course is straightforward with no hidden shots. Bay Hill has beautiful lakes throughout the course adding nice scenery and creating water hazards that come into play on a number of holes. Holes 3, 6, and 11 are all sweeping doglegs around water, and many of the fairways are narrow. Because of the water, this course plays longer than the 6,601 yards posted. Unless golfing indoors at X-Golf Richmond, you must be a member or a registered Lodge guest to play Bay Hill

Innisbrook Copperhead Course
PGA Tournament: Valspar

The Copperhead Course is the most recognizable of Innisbrook’s four Tampa, Florida courses. Another course which represents “The Florida Swing”, it plays host during the PGA TOUR’s annual visit for the Valspar Championship.
Pine tree lined fairways make for tight windows when driving the ball. At over 6800 yards from the blue tees this course is a challenge for even the longest hitters. Your round will be defined by the final 3 holes known as the “Snake Pit”. The par-4 16th (Moccasin), par-3 17th (Rattler) and par-4 18th (Copperhead) demand quality shots from golfers, or else… 🐍 While Innisbrook offers stay and play packages for the Copperhead course, a round indoors at X-Golf Richmond, is guaranteed to be lighter on the wallet and sanity.

Harbour Town
PGA Tournament: RBC Heritage
Course Info: 6660 Par 71
Since 1969, Harbour Town has hosted the RBC Heritage on the PGA Tour, usually in mid-April, the week after The Masters.
Harbour Town ranks as the most difficult indoor golf course at X-Golf Richmond. Pete Dye was the lead architect for the course built in 1967 with the help of professional golfer Jack Nicklaus. The course consists of narrow fairways, overhanging oaks and dark lagoons. Several holes have a very small margin of error between greens and water hazards. Tee shots and lay-ups must be placed in the strategic part of the fairway in order to have a direct shot into the green. Sometimes golfers get blocked out by overhanging trees, even if they are in the fairway. Harbour town is a true test of golf!

East Lake
PGA Tournament: Tour Championship
Course Info: 6818 Par 72
Just outside downtown Atlanta, East Lake Golf Club has been the home to The Tour Championship, the culminating event of the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Playoffs since 2004. Designed by legendary course designer Donald Ross, East Lake offers a fair test of golf. Golfers will not find a lot of trouble at East Lake and wayward tee shots are less penal less than most courses at X-Golf Richmond. We rank this course near the bottom of the list in terms of difficulty and players of all skill levels can score well.
Bethpage Black
PGA Tournament: US Open, PGA, & Ryder Cup
Course Info: 7130 Par 71
Bethpage Black has hosted three PGA major tournaments in its history. The US Open in 2002 won by Tiger Woods, the 2009 US Open won by Lucas Glover and the 2019 PGA Championship won by Brooks Koepka. It will host the Ryder Cup in 2024. Located at Bethpage Black is a notable warning sign that “greets” golfers before the first tee:
“WARNING The Black Course Is an Extremely Difficult Course Which We Recommend Only for Highly Skilled Golfers”
Bethpage is a very long course playing over 7,000 yards from the blue tees. The course is wide open off the tee where errant shots won’t hurt players as much as other courses. You will find the greens at Bethpage to be relatively small with undulation. We rank Bethpage Black as the 5th hardest course to play indoors here at X-Golf Richmond. Good luck!
Hazeltine
PGA Tournament: PGA, Ryder Cup
Course Info 6898 Par 72
Hazeltine National is located in Chaska, Minnesota and has been host to two men’s U.S. Opens, two women’s U.S. Opens, two PGA Championships and a Ryder Cup.
The golf course is hilly, and it has narrow fairways and small greens. Nine of the holes have water hazards. The signature hole at Hazeltine is the par four sixteenth where the tee shot must carry over Hazeltine Lake. The greens at Hazeltine are tough and it’s hard to find a straight putt anywhere on the course. While indoor golfers will not face a lot of trouble off the tee, there are trees that can be penalizing if you get in them. It is in the top 10 courses in terms of length, but the real test at Hazeltine is the short game.
Oakmont
PGA Tournament: US Open, US Amatuer Ryder Cup
Course Info: 7061 Par 71
Oakmont Country Club has a rich history of hosting Golf majors. The course’s resume includes nine United States Opens, five U.S. Amateurs, three PGA Championships, and two U.S. Women’s Opens. In Golf Digest’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses Oakmont was ranked #5
The golf course is notorious for its “church pew” bunker between holes 3&4. Oakmont has very little trees and no water hazards, do not mistake it for an easy course. Length (4th longest at X-Golf Richmond) and some of the most difficult greens are two of the main defenses. Oakmont Country Club is one of the finest and most exclusive courses in the world. Aside from knowing a member, golfing at Oakmont indoors, is going to be your best chance to play the course!

St Andrews
PGA Tournament: The Open
Known as the “home of golf”, The Old Course at St. Andrews is one of the world’s first golf courses.
The St. Andrews Old Course played indoors at X-Golf Richmond will be our most challenging course to play on the simulator. The distance from the white tees will be over 7000 Yards and with several long, forced carries to reach the fairway. In the design process for our golf simulators, we built St Andrews to nearly exact specifications to the real golf course. This means indoor golfers will face more defined undulations and incredibly penalizing bunkers, challenging to the average golfer. Just like if you were at St. Andrews, against the lip of the deep pot bunker, players may have to play out of a bunker sideways or backwards to get out. Before booking a plane ticket across the pond to play at The Home of Golf, you may be wise to test out playing the course indoors at The Home of Indoor Golf, X-Golf Richmond.
